Working for more than 18 years in the Australian funds management industry, Chris has extensive experience investing in Australian equities. Most recently, Chris was the Chief Investment Officer and Portfolio Manager at Wilson Asset Management Pty Limited (WAM) where he was responsible for managing the investment team and overseeing the investment portfolios. During his tenure as Chief Investment Officer at WAM, group funds under management (FUM) grew from $300 million to over $3 billion. In 2014, the Australian Financial Review named Chris as one of the Five Best Young Fund Managers in Australia. Joining WAM in 2006, Chris also held positions as Portfolio Manager, Head of Research and Analyst, prior to his appointment as Chief Investment Officer in 2011. The majority of Chris’s time at WAM was spent analysing and investing in small-cap companies. Chris previously held various positions at ASX listed investment management firm Challenger Limited specialising in Australian equities. Chris is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and also a Board member of the Sydney Swans Foundation.

Martin has more than 13 years experience in the funds management industry and investing in Australian equities. Martin joined 1851 Capital from Wilson Asset Management (WAM) where he held several roles in the investment team over nearly 10 years. Most recently, Martin was Co-Lead Portfolio Manager of WAM’s small-cap portfolios. As a Co-Lead Portfolio Manager, Martin was responsible for stock selection, execution and portfolio construction. In addition, he managed a team of analysts and dealers. Martin played a critical role in marketing WAM’s funds to current and prospective shareholders, and other key stakeholders, including research houses, brokers, financial planners and the media.

Previously, Martin held positions at ASX-listed investment management firm Challenger Limited.

Luke is the Co-Portfolio Manager for the Ausbil Global Resources Fund and an Equities Analyst at Ausbil covering natural resources. Luke joined Ausbil in 2014, and has been in the industry since 1998, gaining experience in the resources sector, both at a corporate level and as an equity analyst in financial services. Most recently, Luke was a highly rated Director, Senior Energy Analyst at Commonwealth Bank Institutional Equities. He also worked as an Oil and Gas Analyst with ABN Amro and a Corporate Finance Analyst with Woodside Petroleum.

James joined Ausbil in 2017, and has been in the industry since 2001, gaining experience in resources and commodities experience to the Ausbil team. James’ experience spans global resources. Most recently James was the mining specialist with Regal Funds Management, a leading Australian long/short fund. Prior to this, James was responsible for regional resources cover- age for UBS in Singapore, and worked with CLSA. James holds Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering) and Bachelor of Commerce degrees, a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance (Finsia), a Graduate Certificate in Mining Engineering, and is a CFA Charterholder.

Todd Guyot is a Portfolio Manager for the Regal Australian Small Companies Fund and a member of the Regal Investment Fund (RF1) Investment Comittee. Prior to joining Regal in November 2014, Todd was Head of Growth and Small Companies at Moelis Australia, where he was recognised by the Wall Street Journal as Asia’s Best Technology Analyst in 2013. A specialist small companies investor with over 22 years’ experience, Todd was Head of Small Companies and Growth at BNP Paribas prior to Moelis and Head of Small Company research at Burdett, Buckeridge & Young prior to that. Todd holds a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance & Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia and has completed an Associate Course majoring in Accounting at the Australian Society of Accountants in Sydney. Todd also holds a Bachelor of Economics from Macquarie University.

Todd has over 20 years of capital markets experience including 16 years covering all aspects of the energy and mining sectors. Prior to joining Tribeca, Todd spent 22 years with Colonial First State Global Asset Management (CFSGAM), including six years based in London. Most recently, he was the Head of Global Resources, leading a team managing in excess of $3bn while serving as portfolio manager for the CFS Wholesale Global Resources Fund as well as other global resources long-only mandates and long-short portfolios. Todd commenced his career with Commonwealth Bank of Australia Group in 1996 in their corporate strategy team before moving to Colonial First State Global Asset Management in 1998. Todd holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance and Economics) degree from the University of Newcastle and is a CFA charter holder.

Omkar Joshi is the Principal and Portfolio Manager of Opal Capital Management. Omkar has over 13 years’ experience in the financial services industry and significant experience managing long/short strategies at leading global and Australian hedge funds. Prior to founding Opal, he was most recently a Managing Director and Portfolio Manager at Point72 Asset Management, which manages more than US$16bn, and immediately prior to that a Portfolio Manager at multi-award winning hedge fund, Regal Funds Management, that manages more than US$1bn. Prior to this, Omkar was a Partner and Sector Head at Watermark Funds Management. Previously, Omkar was an Equity Research Analyst at Credit Suisse. He began his career at KPMG where he was an Accountant in the Private Enterprise division.

Omkar is both a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a Chartered Market Technician (CMT) Charterholder and received his Bachelor of Commerce with High Distinction from the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He has served on the UNSW Business School Alumni Advisory Board (2014 – 2020) and currently serves on the Corporate Governance Board of the Lincoln Institute of Higher Education, and is also the Chair of its Finance, Audit and Risk Committee.

Nathan Parkin is the Investment Director and Co-Founder of Ethical Partners. Ethical Partners currently manages over $2bn on behalf of institutions, high net worth individuals, schools, charities and other parties and integrates ESG into its core investment process. Nathan has 25 years’ experience in Australian financial markets including most recently, prior to Ethical Partners, as Deputy Head of Equities at Perpetual Investments. He was at Perpetual for 12 years (over two periods) and as Deputy Head of Equities he directly managed over $6.5bn in funds under management. Nathan was the Portfolio Manager for Perpetual’s Australian Share Fund, Industrial Share Fund, Ethical SRI Fund (that won a number of industry awards) and Institutional mandates. He has also had experience as an equity analyst, equities dealer and Head of Institutional Business. His not for profit work includes significant fund raising and school Board membership.

Mohammed Apabhai has been in the Asia Pacific region for the past twenty one years spending the past twelve as Head of Citi’s Asia Pacific Trading Strategies team, responsible for on-floor strategy for the region. His remit covers macro, equity markets, equity derivatives, event-driven situations and cross-market analysis, all from a trading floor perspective. Recently his role has been expanded to take on a x-asset role looking at opportunities in equity, fixed income, foreign exchange, credit, commodities and volatility markets. He has done considerable work on market timing, the impact of Central Bank liquidity and the exercise of the “liquidity put” and is currently working on the impact of quantitative loosening on asset and volatility markets. He has also worked on Game Theory frameworks for the CNY, the Sino-US trade wars and iron ore markets. His work attempts to identify not only market drivers and direction but also key levels that could be major turning points. Mohammed’s “Asian Week Ahead” is the most widely read regular publications on Citi’s Asian platform. Prior to joining Citi in March 2009, Mohammed was at Morgan Stanley and Deutsche Bank based in London, Sydney and Hong Kong. Before this he was a Fixed Income Exotics Trader before moving into a proprietary trading role, trading G7 FX, bond and equity markets. Mohammed holds a DPhil from the University of Oxford in Financial Mathematics.

Mary is a member of the investment team and is a Portfolio Manager for the Ellerston Asia Growth Fund, Ellerston Asian Investments (ASX:EAI) and the Ellerston India Fund. Mary has over 20 years investment management expertise and joined Ellerston in 2012. Mary first worked in Asia in 1997 and has been investing in the region since 2001. Prior to joining Ellerston Capital, Mary worked at Oaktree Capital in New York and Singapore. In Singapore, she was the sole person responsible for financial sector investments for the firm’s Global Emerging Markets Hedge Fund. Mary also worked as an investment analyst at Soros Fund Management in New York, the investment vehicle of George Soros. She focused on investments in the financial sector in the US, Asia, including Japan and Europe. Mary has a PhD in Economics from the University of Sydney, an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University Of Calgary, Canada.

Jason is Lead Portfolio Manager, Deputy Chief Investment Officer and Deputy Chair of the Executive Committee at Hyperion. He entered the investment industry in 2002 as an analyst for Wilsons. After being a senior analyst in small- to mid-cap stocks at Wilsons, Jason joined Hyperion as an analyst in 2008, before being promoted to Portfolio Manager in 2009. Jason continues to be responsible for the research of equities in support of the team’s investment decisions across Hyperion’s product range. Jason believes that quality structural growth companies will outperform average businesses over the long term, when purchased at appropriate prices. He is also committed to Hyperion’s investment led equity ownership model. Jason will continue to promote quality research and analysis as core to Hyperion’s alpha driven success. Mark has been a key contributor to the investment returns Hyperion has achieved since its inception in 1996. He has played an integral role in the design of Hyperion’s investment process and was instrumental in establishing the collegiate investment team culture that has underpinned Hyperion’s long-term success.

Mark is the Chief Investment Officer and Managing Director of Hyperion. Mark is the most Senior Portfolio Manager in the investment team and has the most influence over Hyperion’s investment decision making. He has portfolio management responsibilities across all of Hyperion’s equity strategies. He is also the Chair of Hyperion’s Investment Committee.

Mark has been professionally analysing listed companies since 1991. He originally worked as a research analyst at Stockbroker Lance Jones Limited and then at Wilsons. Wilsons was the creator and original 100% equity owner of Hyperion. Mark is a qualified chartered accountant. Prior to establishing himself in the investment industry, Mark worked for KPMG. He holds undergraduate qualifications in Commerce and Law. Mark is a CFA Charterholder and a substantial shareholder in Hyperion.

Jeff Emmanuel is the founder and Chief Investment Officer of the EFM Asset Management group of companies, which he established in 2014. He has over 30 years of experience in the finance and investment industries. During his time in investment banking Jeff had substantial roles in many significant mergers, acquisitions, and equity raisings including high profile transactions such as the initial public offering of AIA (at the time the highest value IPO in history) and the recapitalisation of all four of Australia’s main trading banks after the GFC. He was also a top ranked analyst in the Australian FIG sector for over 10 years. Prior to establishing EFM, held senior roles in investment banking in Asia and Australia, including: Citigroup, Vice Chairman of Investment Banking APAC; UBS AG, Managing Director of APAC Financial Institutions Group (FIG); UBS Australasia, Head of Equities; and Head of Australian FIG Research with UBS, Merrill Lynch and ABN Amro. Jeff holds a Master of Business Administration (Melbourne University), Diploma Course Securities Institute and Bachelor of Economics (Monash University). He is a member of FINSIA and the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.

Steven is a founding partner of Gryphon where he acts as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and portfolio manager. As CEO, he is responsible for the firm’s business strategy, risk management, operational oversight and is a member of Gryphon’s Investment Committee. Steven has more than 27 years’ experience across a broad range of areas, including debt capital markets, securitisation, funds management and structured finance. Before co-founding Gryphon, Steven spent five years at Threadneedle Investments as the Australian co-head responsible for managing the firm’s global ABS portfolios. Prior to this Steven held several key roles specialising in structured finance and securitisation which included, co-head of the Babcock and Brown Capital Markets Group, Director in Nomura’s Commercial Mortgage team based in the New York office and Associate Director in Nomura’s Principal Finance Group. Steven began his career with Price Waterhouse in Sydney. Steven holds a Masters of Economics from Macquarie University, a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Queensland, is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1993.

Jeremiah S. Lane (San Francisco) joined KKR in 2005 and is a Partner of KKR. Jeremiah is a portfolio manager for KKR’s leveraged credit funds and portfolios and a member of the US Leveraged Credit Investment Committee and KKR Credit Portfolio Management Committee. Prior to joining KKR, Jeremiah worked as an associate in the investment banking/technology, media and telecom group at J.P. Morgan Chase. Jeremiah holds an A.B. with honors in History from Harvard University.
